Scrumptious Sundays!!!

Today I wanted to show you something that is honestly the most delicous form of apple on this planet.  I am not normally an apple person, why?  I have no idea, I have always been a banana kinda gal I guess lol.

But when I discovered these I have a new found love with my round green little nemesis.  In fact I can say that, if someone let me, eat these forever they are soooo good and they just make you drool.  Honestly whenever I see this bag of chips I feel like Pavlov's dog (however you spell his name), you know the one with the study on conditioning?

My boys even love these and they HATE apples!  MMmmm they are even a good thing to add to a nice fresh summer salad for some contrast in flavor AND texture!

So what are the numbers on our little friend??

Scrumptious Sunday! My Healthy Banana Muffin recipe!

3 or 4 Large bananas, mashed (the more bananas the more moist the muffins will be)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 slightly beaten egg
1/6 cup melted margarine or butter
1/6 apple sauce
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup wheat germ mixed with small amount of finely ground flax seeds
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Mash up the bananas and add the sugar, egg, melted margarine, applesauce, and vanilla all together.
In a separate bowl mix together all the dry ingredients.  Mix together.  Put into a 350(F) degree oven and cook for twenty minutes or until toothpick or knife comes out clean.

Super easy is it not?  The wheat germ and flax seed isn’t terribly expensive either and it’s a great thing to add to yogurt for a little extra goodness!  My eldest loves yogurt with wheat germ in it, he’s one odd fellow that’s for sure, but i’m not complaining about it lol!
