15 minutes to spare for your health?
I was wondering the blogging world today and I came across a great article with a GREAT workout and I just couldn't not pop in to share it with you. It is something that really brings to light just how anyone can find just a little bit of time to think about their health and then do something about it.
How many times a day do you put yourself last? Why not ensure you take 15 minutes to make yourself feel better and healthier?
This great blurb "Get Sexy and Lean In 15min..." is a great and time efficient way to do that and I couldn't not find the time here to quickly share that with you. I hope that all of you are enjoying your November so far! Have any tips for us on how to stay fit in the winter months?

I have been gone too long
I have been away from here for far too long and the days here are getting more wet and depressing. I have been so busy trying to run an in home daycare, keeping up with my Mumfection blog, party planning like a madwoman cause this is a super busy month for that with me. Then to top it all off I am still managing to squeeze in a work out everyday for the most part. I mean Sundays sometimes get pushed to the side if i'm lucky enough to have nothing to do but recover from a busy weekend. Usually my Sundays are spent cleaning the house from ceilings to base boards which still manages to work up a HUGE sweat. Partly because my apartment is like living in a sweat box sometimes lol, or I just sweat an unnatural amount... which I've always thought to be true.
Now since I have been away I haven't lost a lot of weight, I don't think, but i FEEL soo great and my energy level is better than ever. I have created a monster... so big that I can't stop planning events and am now doing a Halloween Costume Party for my birthday coming up. The decorations are going to take at least three days to do and finish, then I have to make all the themed food so I'm in panic mode and I'm kinda loving it in a sick way lol. I have also discovered that having a daycare opens up doors to many ways to get free exercise we go on hikes and on rainy days we do silly and fun aerobics that everyone can get in on. I am feeling sexy people and that puts a smile on my face... or maybe it is just the sexy Halloween costume I can't stop myself from trying on over and over again. Regardless I am happy and I would love to hear the same from all of you.
What are some of your fav fun ways to get your sweat on during the fall season?? I have to admit running the track on a cold Fall night as the leaves fall is pretty amazing and it smells just like Halloween outside MMmmmm.
I missed you guys!

Scrumptious Sundays!!!
I have seen many variations of this recipe but I have only just recently found one that I really like.
[pic]
Not something you would think that I personally would go for, but I LOVE it.
[pic]
This is something that I usually always get from take out too so finding a healthy AT HOME recipe I could work with as a replacement was hard; but I did it.
My perfectly healthier at home choice for Asian Garlic Tofu!!! HORAY!!!
Ingredients
1 pkg extra-firm tofu
2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 mL) minced gingerroot, (or 1/2 tsp/2 mL ground)
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
3/4 cup (175 mL) vegetable stock or low-sodium chicken stock
1/4 cup (50 mL) soy sauce (low sodium; i prefer china lily brand)
1 tbsp (15 mL) cornstarch
2 green onions, diagonally sliced
2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 mL) minced gingerroot, (or 1/2 tsp/2 mL ground)
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
3/4 cup (175 mL) vegetable stock or low-sodium chicken stock
1/4 cup (50 mL) soy sauce (low sodium; i prefer china lily brand)
1 tbsp (15 mL) cornstarch
2 green onions, diagonally sliced
Preparation:
Pat tofu dry; cut crosswise into 4 slices. In large nonstick skillet, heat half of the oil over medium-high heat; fry tofu, turning once, until golden, about 8 minutes. Remove to plates and keep warm.
Add remaining oil to pan; fry onion, garlic, ginger and pepper over medium heat until onion is softened, about 3 minutes.
Add stock and soy sauce; bring to boil. Stir cornstarch with 1 tbsp (15 mL) water; stir into pan and boil, stirring, until thickened, about 1 minute. Pour over tofu. Sprinkle with onions.

Scrumptious Sundays!!!
Today I wanted to show you something that is honestly the most delicous form of apple on this planet. I am not normally an apple person, why? I have no idea, I have always been a banana kinda gal I guess lol.
But when I discovered these I have a new found love with my round green little nemesis. In fact I can say that, if someone let me, eat these forever they are soooo good and they just make you drool. Honestly whenever I see this bag of chips I feel like Pavlov's dog (however you spell his name), you know the one with the study on conditioning?
My boys even love these and they HATE apples! MMmmm they are even a good thing to add to a nice fresh summer salad for some contrast in flavor AND texture!
So what are the numbers on our little friend??

new stats!!
I haven't been weighing myself since i've been so ill this last little while. I know I have yet to still reply to some of your comments and the like I just barely have time to do anything and i've been really focusing on my main blog. Making this one more of a bi-weekly blog that I will try to post on twice a week. If I can make myself commit to twice a week I should be able to up it once I get used to that consistency.
So without further ado I will release to you my stats!!!
BMI
WAS: 32.32
NOW: 32.10
WEIGHT
NOW: 87.4KG
LOSS OF: 0.6kg
HORAY!!
So I think that I can say that i'm happy with that, in fact happy enough since I have been ill and still managed to keep on track with everything. Now I know it is slow going for me but I am again just constantly happy that I am continuing to loose. It was soooo hard to even manage that before and here I am now!! Closer and closer to never looking at the number 200 again!!!

Yoga Booty Ballet
~I was not approached by anyone to do this, it is completely on my own accord and all are my own thoughts and opinions~
For those of you who love to have fun and work up a sweat I have a new trend sweeping the nation, a class you might just LOVE!!
For those of you who love to have fun and work up a sweat I have a new trend sweeping the nation, a class you might just LOVE!!
Skeptical, like myself?? I understand it sounds difficult and rather outside most peoples comfort zones... but so was zumba when it first came out, and pole dancing and look at how many of those classes are now offered all over north america!
Yoga booty ballet is a "combination of yoga, ballet, and dance that focuses on having fun, getting sweaty, and gaining flexibility and lean muscles." Something I could definitely dig my feet into. Plus the dancing helps with your balance and rhythm! I have discovered, recently, that I am no longer the dancer that I once was, this was great to get me back into it, help my body remember how to move flowingly, gracefully but still clearly give my body a great workout.
They have so many different workouts, and for those of you on a budget like myself, you can find them, pretty much all of them, on YouTube! This is one of my favs... one of those workouts I rarely get to do as I refuse to do it in front of the kids or my hubby lol. So on days that hubby goes to work and I manage to get all the children to sleep at once is when i'll break out this one. Luckily for me there are clearly less sexy workouts, i just love getting in touch with feeling sexy again, I rarely feel that way so every little bit of an ego boost helps!!
I hope you are all having a lovely monday, maybe you can even squeak in this workout today!!
